The Lonely Instructor

Here it is--Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. and I'm looking for student blogs. Where are they??? These things seem to magically disappear when I look for them. Blogging seemed to be a great idea, but it seems that technology and writing students don't mix well. It's a great way to express yourself, to get it "OUT THERE." Remember X-files? The truth is out there--your blogs are out there. I would even gander to say, there's truth in them. Well, I am rambling, but keep on blogging!!

So What Will I Do Now?

Blogging seems to be the hottest way to express yourself today. My daughter claims to have over eighty blog entries (some with pictures!). She has always been very expressive. I have fancied myself to be a writer but the last year has been very light (three) on the blogging. So I will try to explain my absence and promise more blogging on my part.
The last year began (August 2004) with the engagment of my daughter, so much of the months to June 2005 were very busy with those preparations--many done by personal hands-on work. In addition, her fiance moved in (into her brother's room) to complete his semester of student teaching. So, we went from three people in the house (myself, husband and youngest son) to five adults--what a hectic schedule! Finally, to add to all the busyness, my husband became an elder in the church which was going through some crises at the time. Thus my life in church became more fully involved. With all that, I still worked full time and participated in the faculty council. Needless to say, my writing suffered first and foremost.

Now things seem quieter. We're down to three adults. So I do plan to do more writing and blogging (I'll post a short story soon). So let's see what happens because it is a blog, blog world!
